Let me hold your hand

Sadness and rage
Two separate things
But they can combine forces
And the emotion made is nothing but pain

The tears mixed with words
A hateful mixture
Whether you were to experience
Or to watch a friend feel this

Compared to most things
This is a feeling that to me
Is remembered to often
As well as seen

My friend
If I could erase what you felt
I would do so
But this serves as a cruel valuable lesson

This lesson can not be taught by a teacher
It has to be learnt with experience
To ease the pain you feel
